What is this ill that besets us? What is this poison that reeks in our pews?
A famine, a poverty that has taken us swiftly in our folly and our riches. Earthly plagues now devour the likes of the children of light. A decay is in the midst of us. We smell it in our very breath; but we dare not speak of it. That which must flame and consume all chill has succumb to the cold winter of complacency. Our words, our breath, our pneuma has but become a stench of this world’s ragged celebration of sin, Godlessness and death.
How can light work darkness? How can good promote evil? How can beacons of eternal life revel in death’s dark dungeons? How can splinters of rebellion and sin withstand a thousand trumpets of heavenly creatures, each mightier than all the bastions this world can surmount; let alone a Holy God, all-consuming fire, the Eternal One, the Most High. How will not the foundations be shaken? How will not trouble draw near as fast as dawn breaking on a dreary night? How will Babylon not fall?
The Church was where liberty was proclaimed. The Church was the stronghold of the hammer that crushed tyranny, the bow that set the dark enemy at bay, the light that cast out all manner of evil, deceit, malice and terror.
Now, sons of mighty soldiers stumble in the dark as intoxicated, vice-injected, beguiled lesser mortals. The staff is become a sceptre for war lords and princes of locusts. Men’s bones are consumed as their homes lay in disarray and shame. Putting no means to rise from their fall they glory in their shame, sing praises for their voices, harp for the harp and proclaim how great they art.
Study has become a roost for self-worship and understanding has fallen on the passing ways of this world. The young are taught to deceive and be deceived. The old are fed the old poison in new caskets; an opium to quench the horrors of the sights that surrounds them.
Fingers promised the skill to fight have forsaken the Sword. They stand defenceless in the wake of the destruction that consumes the nations and the desolation of their souls. The shining blade of their victory lays lost in neglect and ruin. Forged knives counterfeit, inferior and hopeless are wielded in open mockery.
Scorn for the Truth has filled their hearts and the worship of vain traditions busy their minds. Life, Love and Light are shut-up in the closets of their childhood and entombed in the grave of their fathers.
The dying, deceitful and carnal ways of their Babylon are their constant yearnings.
Dying young is the malady of their homes, children die right inside the house, culled by lying visions of death and sin set before them under the carelessness of their parents.
Demons lay in wait for those who will submit their bodies to sin. Without any fear of God children wander into deathly traps craftily set by the evil one. Parents plant the seeds of malice with their own unrepentant ways and their hypocritical garb of lawlessness.
Darkness lies as a blanket over their hearts feeding on their souls, trashing their minds and laying waste their bodies.
Is there any Hope? Will the day break?
REPENT! Take up your Sword
Dawn is near…

Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:
Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work among this people, even a marvellous work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid.
